Getting organisations to a point where they can do it right differers from organisation to organisation, and there are issues such as legacy to contend with.
I do not like overlays, but if they can help organisations transition, help them realise the problem, get them to listen to the discussion, get them to engage with the audience and explore the possibilities, then change is possible and they did a good thing, not as a solution but as a catalyst.
My problem with the whole thing is the permanence of the language, and this isn't restricted to overlays. There is way too much overselling in the accessibility marketplace.
